If you had asked the little 6 year old Gillian "what do you want to be when you grow up" the answer would have been "I want to eat in restaurants and rate them in the Michelin guide" Yes I was obsessed with food even at that tender age. The Michelin Guide was the bible used on our road trips across France, though we were not looking for stars just knives and forks. Now these many years later if asked what my dream job would be the answer would be pretty much the same. I would probably look like the Michelin man if I were to do it though. In fact I trained as a chef but have never worked in the industry but I love to share my passion for food by cooking for family and friends, teaching night school and doing the odd catering job. This blog will perhaps satisfy my food critic craving and share my passion for food even further
